Webinar Overview:

The long history of unfair land use rules and practices still affects who lives and how people live in California’s coastal communities today. California Coastal Commission is committed to furthering fair housing and creating integrated, equitable communities in the coastal zone. This feedback session aims to gather community input on how the Coastal Commission and local governments can implement the Coastal Act in a way that supports fair housing. Community input from the feedback session will be used to develop resources on fair housing in the coastal zone.

Agenda:

• Welcome and introductions
• Objectives and timeline for the fair housing project
• Overview of fair housing
• Coastal Act information on Local Coastal Programs (LCPs) and Coastal Development Permits (CDPs)
• Feedback and discussion

We will begin with a presentation providing background information, followed by interactive breakout sessions to discuss ideas and gather feedback. Your insights and participation are vital to co-creating resources that promote inclusive and equitable LCP policies and coastal communities.
